I know there are only three people in the picture but let me explain. Jesse and I took the boys to hang out this last Friday night as a family of four. We all know in just a few days our lives are about to drastically change. We hung out around a table at Pete’s in Wentzville (where picture was taken) laughing and having a great time.
This is all we have known for the last 13 years, this is normal and this is our life. We all make a great team. So, now, to add this new person to this tight-knit crew is something that is unknown to us. We don’t know how or exactly what will change with the four of us but just that it will change this coming Friday when we add a new member to our family.
I don’t believe any of us are nervous but more ready for this day; we have mentally worked to prepare as much as possible, along with the actual physical preparation that we have needed to take. We are as ready as we will ever be.
In the past, we have had many life-changing moments and it’s always turned out better when we have walked into the unknown with peace, because simply, it just always works out. Life is always going to throw us the unexpected, good or bad, but just like Jesse quoted Sunday morning Romans 8:28 “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the GOOD of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
We know that this little girl was not part of our plan when we looked into our futures but without a doubt God has worked this into our lives and we know the plan He has for us in this and for Aisha Kay will be beyond amazing! Because our God is a GOOD God!
