This is also the case with a broken heart. It can change the way you see yourself and others. It can separate you from everyone else. It can definitely distort what we see as truth.
Our heart and our feelings often lead us. When our heart is broken, it skews our view in different directions. We see ourselves, or even others, with rose-colored glasses. This can put us in either a prideful situation or a vulnerable situation. Both are not healthy places to be. They make us either the bully or the victim. And as with broken glass, a broken heart cuts deep.
Forgiveness and responsibility can be a glue to mend our broken pieces back together. They are what we (and God) can use to get closure in situations that we allow to fester WAY longer than we should. We need to move passed the brokenness that was and move toward the FULL vision God has in front of us.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
